Nowadays everyone needs to be able to drive a car or an automobile. One can learn driving at the age of sixteen and obtain a learner’s license first. Any one learning to drive must ensure that he keeps in mind the safety aspects, which is the most important part of driving.
Reckless driving if you thought was a rage with teenagers, you are wrong. Even adults seem to drive recklessly putting others into danger. They seem to revel in doing so.
Accidents occur due to mishaps, which are beyond the driver’s control. However at times we tend to ignore weather reports and the various traffic signals in a sense of complacency and invite trouble.
Everybody today has to have a car to be able to commute to office and other places. In a house we have multiple cars. People are always in a hurry to beat the traffic and get to their destination ahead. With the increase in traffic, the accident is also increasing proportionately
Many of the driving mistakes and mishaps can be avoided by training drivers in safety aspects and giving them the awareness of safe driving practices. If this is done at the time when teens just begin to learn driving, they will grow up to be responsible drivers.
Reckless drivers have no control over themselves and often end up paying huge amounts in fine and fighting cases, thereby tarnish their reputation and loose licenses. If only they can learn to abide by the traffic rules, obey the signals, signboards and maintain lane discipline, they can avoid all these hassles.
Students should be taught in detail the various traffic rules and regulations including practical sessions on how to obey traffic rules, maintaining speed limit in particular zones, following guidelines give on traffic boards and signals, maintaining safe distance from other vehicles etc.
People those who under go detailed training on driving principles, safety practices and practical skills will become good responsible drivers who respect the safety of the others as well of their vehicle and themselves.

Minor accidents and mishaps are common with any car or vehicle. Even with an insurance agreement governing you, this occurrence stands to create some negligible stress and anxiety in us.
However all said and done you will be left fretting in times of an accident not knowing what to do next. It is always better to know what process is required to be followed in such cases.
If the mishap is minor in nature more like a bumper-to-bumper hit, you may drive over to the side of the road and part. The traffic needs to move on and you can avoid blocking the road.
Always when in an accident on the road, switch on the hazard’s light so that the other vehicles approaching are able to stop well ahead and avoid further collision.
Once you park by the side of the road, call the police to report in. If they do not respond immediately as it is a minor mishap, make sure you follow up and get the report filed. This would later be required for insurance claim process.
While waiting for the police to arrive, get down to noting the details of the other vehicle and note down the registration details, number plate, model, color and the drivers details including but not limited to his name, address, driving license number, insurance details etc.
There is no need to have any conversation as to who was wrong and to admit that you were at fault. The police will decide who was at fault and report to the insurance.
You would need to inform the insurance agency about the accident and they will take over from there and deal with things. If possible make sure you photograph both vehicles in detail and provide it to the insurance agency.

You have to make sure you know what to do and what not to do after an accident, though. You can get stressed after you’ve had an accident and say or do the wrong thing. You can also forget to get the needed information and cause yourself trouble that way. It’s important to know what to do before you find yourself in that situation.
First, so long as no one is hurt, move the cars out of the road. This is very important especially if the accident happened in an intersection.
You really can’t just leave your cars in the intersection. If you do, then cars trying to get around you can have problems and you can actually cause more accidents to happen. Before you move your cars, turn on your hazard lights so that other cars know something is wrong and don’t expect that you’ll be able to travel at the normal rate of speed.
Be sure to call the police next. Now, the police may or may not come to the scene – in some areas, unless there are injuries police are not dispatched. Still, you do need to call the accident in. Ideally you will get a police accident report, because this will make it much easier to deal with insurance companies.
The most important thing to remember is that you have to exchange information with the other driver. You need the basics, like their name and phone number, insurance company, policy number, drivers license number, and the license plate number of their car. You also want to get a general description of the car, such as make, model, and color.
While you are exchanging information don’t make small talk. It’s too easy to say the wrong thing. Don’t apologize for anything or admit fault in any way. Let the police determine who is at fault.
If you have a camera on you, or if your car has a camera, take pictures of both cars. You want shots of damage, and also shots of the cars’ position in relation to each other if you can get that. Then once you leave the scene, contact your insurance agent right away to report the accident.
